CERN is an acronym for Centre Européen pour la Recherche Nucleaire. It is the world’s foremost laboratory for fundamental research in high-energy physics and for accelerator development and related advanced technologies.

The CERN Summer Student Programme offers undergraduate students of physics, computing and engineering a unique opportunity to join in the day-to-day work of research teams participating in experiments at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

About 125 researchers and graduate students in Denmark use CERN either by contributing and participating directly in the experiments or by carrying out theoretical work related to CERN physics.
